Race Report

The races went very well this year. It was the second road race of the day for Diss because the Round Norfolk Relay passed through the town in the early hours of the morning.

David Laing of Ipswich JAFFA won the Men's race from Allen Smalls of Colchester Harriers. In a closely matched team battle the club places were reversed with Colchester gaining the upper hand by just two points.

Sarah Williams of the Metropolitan Police repeated her winning run of 2002 with a five minute improvement over her previous time. This was also the fastest winning time over the last six years. Sarah had a comfortable winning margin of just over two minutes from Anna Wills.

Our race has traditionally been on the last Sunday in September. The provisional date for next year is Sunday 24th September 2006. It shouldn't clash with the Great North Run (1 Oct) or the Round Norfolk Relay (16/17 Sep).

Note for the age categories that M60 covers all ages 60+, F55 is for all ages 55+.
